I cant seem to find a high pressure rated threded end cap at any of the local plubing suppliers. I was just wondering if i could get a reducer and reduce the combustion chaber back to 2" and them put a threded end cap on that [:0].

Yes, that would work. You could also make it with a 3" male adapter which goes to a 3"-2" bushing and then use a small section of 2" pipe to attach a regular end cap. Then you wouldn't have to fill it through the small 2" hole (assuming that you are using aerosol).

You don't need a high pressure cap. You can use DWV for a combustion.

Thanks for the help i went back to the local plumbing supplier and found out that instead of using a PVC end cap i could use a galv threded end plug (which i've done). I'll post the pictures as soon as i have finished posting this :D.
