Dramatic Spud Gun Rescue

Tell stories about your spud cannon adventures!

I live on the Outer Banks of NC and if you watch the weather channel you would know that we just got hit by a hurricane. My first gun (The Anti Surfboard Weapon) was on my painting rack along with two barrels to my other gun. Any way, the flooding from the storm moved my whole rack out into deep water(http://www.tnight.net/photo-view.php?photo_id=59893). Near the end of the storm I paddled out on a piece of wood walkway to save the gun. This was acomplished http://www.tnight.net/photo-view.php?photo_id=59894
The barrels are still under water and I will save them when the water goes down. Has anyone else had a dramatic gun rescue like this one?

Forgot to mention the water was 'bout a foot below the bottom of the shed shown in the picture. Plus I got the barrels and they are fine.

Nice rescue work, buzzboy. Hope everything is well and stays well for y'all on the outer banks. I know that area is especially vulnerable to storms. If the spudguns were the primary issue, then I guess the storm wasn't too awfully bad, right? And it appears you have an internet connection and power, so that's good!

About NC. I'm in Winston-Salem. If we can round up a few more spudtech memebers in the Carolinas or maybe in Virginia, maybe we can all have a spud shoot sometime. I'll start a thread in the IPLA area of the forums, and let's see if what we can set up.

No. The paint was dry so it is all good. It is being used as an outdoor storage while I find more room

Naw. Its just the Bergles Cannon from Armored Fist Paintball. I plan to use it on a paintball tank that I havent made yet and it doesn't work very well. I just shoot sticks, paintballs and metal rods out of it from close range.

Edit: I just noticed this is my centenial. 100 posts. YEAH
