Tell stories about your spud cannon adventures!

Hmm...well this IS a pretty suspicious story...but he said an old one. I found one in the woods once that was covered in rust and was partially caroded...there were holes all over it from where the rust ate it.

And maybe by "covered in concrete" he means there was some old concrete just sitting there that dried, not a "layer", but a thin thin bit of it. That stuff is easily broken if its all old and thin like that. Some people just tend to tell half the truth when telling stories and tend to exagerate.

But still, the flashlight thing is bull and why has this guy not responded in so long?

Judging by the lack of replies by buckbo972, I'd have to rule this one false.

Just found this. Well, I was there and I can tell you that the tomato did penetrate the wheelbarrow. The tomatos were extremely green. They were also a good fit for a 2 inch sch40 barrel. I will post some pics of this. This was all performed using the large pneumatic cannon on my website. The wheelbarrow had extremely thin metal and it took one shot prior to the penetration to clear away some of the concrete. This was all close range. And according to ggdt the tomato was travtelling around 700 fps. I would have responded earlier but I didn't see it until now. As for the flashlight, I do believe the back had a sufficient crack in it so the force of the cannon just did it in. Oh, yes the flashlight was an el cheapo plastic one.

what does "been wooking for this" mean?

I think that anyone making claims that are a bit hard to believe (not saying that this isn't true) shouldn't post unless pictures are available.... it is just asking for pages of arguments and silly talk..

I highly doubt that a green tomato fits in a 2" sch40 barrel and is traveling at 700fps. Just watch him say it was a combustion:D.

At this point this is a waste of time because I don't have pictures, but here is the weapon of choice:

The gun is now actuated with a pneumatically modded 3/4" sprinkler valve.
