Re: Off Topic - is it illegal to draw a silencer in California?

Can you legally purchase this book in California? Or this one , or this ? If so, I doubt you could be prosecuted for simply drawing something. I mean you could also design a full auto assault rifle, but you wouldn't worry about being prosecuted for that. For reference and historical purposes only. V...

Re: I got some questions.

So you guys were on the money. I was lean for sure. I think higher mixes helps aswell. I have been successful up to 30x with roughly 20psi propane 420psi air. Now it seems to be on par with the phenumatic counterpart. I do intend on mounting it on a stock or something of the sort. Like a bulpup conf...

Single-pump hybrid concept

I like @hectmarr 's work on these autonomous hybrids. I'm thinking about a design for a single-pump, high-mix hybrid. It seems to me that going for multiple pumps is a waste, since the resistance of the first few strokes is low, so one's arm is getting a lot of exercise just going back and forth. [a...

Re: I'm back!

Also it is a barrel sealing piston. The "face" sits inside the barrel instead of pressing up against it. The rear oring is a "floating oring" so air passes one way to fill the chamber. It cannot flow in reverse.

Re: I got some questions.

Butane when burned releases a residue of water and carbon dioxide, which is what you say, referring to the "internal factor 1". The second internal factor is the pressure drop with respect to atmospheric pressure, which condenses moisture, as Mrfoo says. There is at the same time, the normal humidit...

Re: JSR's workshop chronicles

A not very interesting video I made is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpwiL3BgiIY That was actually an amusing and informative watch, I can see why you thought my workshop was more organized... obviously you've just been at it longer J'ai aussi apprécié le contraste avec le bloke anglais pottering...

Re: I'm back!

Add what was missing to get the valve closed automatically. It works correctly, luckily. The valve closes when you let in compressed air and the pilot depressurizes immediately after firing. The dosing system that I am testing needs to be able to decompress to measure the right amount of butane, it ...

Re: Hybrid repeat system

Válvula colizante.jpg válvula coolizante desarmada.jpg This is the three-way valve, with exhaust, that I use to activate the system, with each shot. It is bistable, but I have added a spring to make it normally closed. I used this one because I had it on hand, but you can use a commercial, three-wa...

Re: ElectroThermal Cannon

I'm not familiar with these as I'm more of a potato/soda can launching kind of guy myself. However, after watching Larda's videos of his shooting, might I suggest just buying a bolt action target rifle instead? Jokes aside, I haven't seen Larda in forever and I don't think anyone else around ...

Re: Regarding the Legality of Hybrid Spud Guns in the USA

In my country, these hobby weapons are considered directly as firearms. I investigated and asked acquaintances who work in the regulation of weapons, and they tell me that I cannot carry them, nor shoot outside an officially authorized shooting range and with a psychophysical examination ... Stupid,...
