3D printing?
7A310B0F-7133-45BD-850D-6A43AFB70666.jpeg Hello all I appear new to the forums, but I’m really not! I have been on here since dial up internet, and the spud tech site forums. Anyhow I stop in now and again to see what’s new here, and what badass things you creators have made! With that being said, ...

Re: about accuracy
I dont think you actually Google the magnus effect? Its not the "aerodynamic" effect. It's absolutely aerodynamic, and I didn't need to google it. Higher education in physics will do that for you :) What would you suggest as a mechanism for the magnus effect other than aerodynamics? Unicorn farts, ...

Re: I got some questions.
Butane when burned releases a residue of water and carbon dioxide, which is what you say, referring to the "internal factor 1". The second internal factor is the pressure drop with respect to atmospheric pressure, which condenses moisture, as Mrfoo says. There is at the same time, the normal humidit...

Single-pump hybrid concept
I like @hectmarr 's work on these autonomous hybrids. I'm thinking about a design for a single-pump, high-mix hybrid. It seems to me that going for multiple pumps is a waste, since the resistance of the first few strokes is low, so one's arm is getting a lot of exercise just going back and forth. [a...

Re: Single-pump hybrid concept
A few more thoughts: I looks like Hector's little pistol has 16mL chamber, or ~1 cubic inch. I feel a bit silly for planning a rifle around a chamber with half that volume. So, I eked out a bit more performance by extending the lever arm to 24," the attachment point to 6.5," and increasing the cylin...

Re: Single-pump hybrid concept
Glad my antics serve to inspire and can be improved upon. What I suggest is trying to keep everything as simple as possible. For the rest, surely a lever will increase the compression and the complexity and size of the weapon, which does not have to be a problem, unless like me, you are looking for ...

Re: 3D printing?
Thanks everyone I didn’t even realize I had got reply’s until just now! Yes i was going for a coaxial design the small groves were to allow the chamber to be filled past the piston or an equalization channels as there is none on the piston itself and a spring would also be used to aid in the sealing...

High pressure air pump
The three wise men stopped by my house and gave me a bomb for nationally manufactured pcp weapons. It is a "Spartan 300" from AIRTEC. It's for 300 bar but in this video, they tested it up to 600 bar and it still works fine. It is simple, solid and not very hot ... I don't know how they did that. In ...

Rapid Fire Hybrid System
I want to show a test of the system for my new hybrid to repeat. I finished building it today, and it works fine. I have to sort a little all the elements that are currently scattered on the work table. I'm working at 5X for testing, and it will be at 8X when the gun is finished. The valve I use is ...
