I need 3" pipe within the next 6-7 days. Does McMaster ship that fast? I live in southern OR if it helps. I tried to find the ship time on the site, but I couldn't. Thanks in advance!

I got a box full of fittings worth about $55, shipped in under a day to a San Francisco Hotel from McMaster. Cost my parents $27 but hey, they still don't know...

The closest shipping center to you would be in LA, if that helps at all. If you're using your parents credit card the shipping cost doesn't come out on the receipt right after the checkout just on the credit card charge. Isn't that great MrC? Actually my dad found out and made me pay up :(

McMaster shipping is incredibly fast.

I live in Canada, so they won't ship directly to me, I have to get a friend in the States to order it and then ship it to me. From the time he ordered the parts, to the time they arrived in Ontario was about 7 days. In the lower 48 states, 3 days or less.

And I bought 6 feet of .257" ID SS tubing, which wasn't exactly cheap to ship to Canada.

I have ordered parts of McMaster many times. As DYI says I experienced typical ship times of 2-3 days. I think that they ship out at 6 in the morning so order at night. Mind you these are business days. When you place your order then it will give you a ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) shipping date.

IDK, I live right off a large highway, so that is why I could be getting my packages relatively fast, but discussing it with others they are on time a lot.

Shipment came in 2 biz days for me but I'm only 150 miles from their Atlanta, GA facility. 2.5" PVC pipe came packed in cardboard protective tube. The pipe was in pristine condition with no markings whatsoever.

The shipping is fast, but note that for shipping pipe, your charges will be higher. If at all possible, I buy pipe locally, mainly because I can't get anything over 5' from McMaster, and otherwise because it's expensive to ship.

When ordering stuff, I have them in two days tops, unless it spans a weekend.

I don't know for sure, but I think this Jigaboo meathead might manage to wrack up the fastest ban ever.

On the actual topic, ordering really big stuff from McMaster isn't a great idea unless you really need it and can't get it near home. They are a lot cheaper than your average hardware store for steel fittings and pipe (3" union @McMaster=~$60, same union @hardware store=$160).
