i will try out all the darts with different angle.
i don't think a more shallow angle will work if i can't hardend them properly, i might try my welder and 25amps to heaten it. if it melts i just sharpend it again since i have enough mass

Spud, even if you don't get the angle just perfect, you can always remedy that with added velocity. When piercing something with another something going really fast, as long as the other something is going fast enough, it'll go right through. Earlier in the thread, there was a discussion about metal hardness and selecting the right material for the dart. I have to disagree on hardness playing that much of a role. On the scale used, I doubt that water even has a rating, and if you give it enough oomph, it'll cut steel in two.

True that, the reason for tungsten being used as a penetrator is not primarily because it's hard but because it's extremely dense.
The hardness does play a major role. With my SCTBDC, I was never able to go more than about halfway into 1/4" plate with annealed darts of any dimensions. On my first try with a hardened dart, I got a clean hole in the plate (and a very messy hole in the shed behind it 
). I've still never put an annealed dart through that plate, and center punches still work every time. That's not to say that putting a soft round through harder steel is impossible (I've seen pictures of an LGG putting a low density plastic slug through 1/2" aluminum plate), but a harder slug is usually more energy efficient.
