Airsoft Frag Round

So basically, i have been trying to find a way to make an impact fragmenting airsoft round for my pneumatic cannon. I took a 3" section of 3/4" pipe, and plugged one end with clay. I then poured in melted wax almost to the top, and then filled it about three quarters of the way with airsoft pellets. After putting them in the frezer, they are solid and brittle. When they hit something hard (NOT A PERSON) they fragment, and the pressure caused by the impact of the round forces out the pellets with a pretty impressive velocity. I do not reccommend using these in an airsoft game.

Great idea, however it has been discussed. The wax has to be re-poured every time, which is time and money inefficient.

perhaps cut the pvc in half, but cut both ends so that they are forked, like a V. I am too lazy to draw, but basicly cut a V shaped section from the end. On impact, this will tear both halves away from each other. Tape the pipe halves together, put crumpled paper in to the front end and tape the back hole up. Put bbs in the middle.

thing is, if that is flying, and hits something hard, the pv could fragment, which is a lot more dangerous than chunks of wax.

plus, when i make them, i make like 15 or twenty at a time

and when they do fragment, they eventually dissolve and don't need to be retrieved. using biodegradable pellets... there is no trace left in a few days

that does sound like a good idea.. but i don't think it would be very aerodynamic... and it would probably be pretty expensive. you're saying to glue pellets together, correct?
