darts for pneumatics
You can adapt the nail to fit your barrel with tape. That's the easiest way.

1/4 penny nails work pretty well for darts, at least from a blowgun; 1/16" diameter, 1.75" long (going on memory there). Cheap too. You should be able to buy them at any self-respecting hardware store.
But thanks for the reminder. I think I'll go roll a dart or two for my 1" barrel.

ok i just found the greatest thing for 1/2"barrels
take a piece of 1/2"dowel and cut about half an inch off, then drill a small hole in the middle. put a long screw through. suprisingly they fly really straight and have good penetration

ok this is what i do in my spare time:
you all know pen guns right?(those pen tubes with a rubber band tied on one end of it and you fire pen inks)well we used to fire coathanger ammo out of that but you can also use in for a mini spud gun i suppose.
you get a metal coathanger and cut out straight bits off the wire. i usually cut it 9 inch for each peice and that gives me three peices from one coathanger. REMEMBER you cant use the curved bits on the coathanger. i then put a peice in a vice and sharpen one end of the coathanger using a file.
we fired one of these at school out of a pen gun 10 feet away from a black board and it went through the blackboard!!!!!!!!!BE VERY CAREFULL this is a killing dart never point it at someone!!!!!!!!
happy shooting!!!!!!

I've only made a few darts, as they seemed to consume more time and money than they were worth, but here they are:
50mm.

And the more sturdily built 75mm version. I've never used any one launcher long enough to develop a dart design to completion, mostly because I never felt I had enough available power to make it worthwhile. Now, however...
