Hey guys. I'm looking to modify a 1" sprinkler valve but I've noticed none of the ones up on here have guide rods for the diaphragm. The sprinkler valves i have access to all come with guide rods.

i posted this up in a quest to find out whether ill be fine to use these valves and mod them for pneumatic actuation as per usual. will the rod affect performance in any way?

i've tried searching but couldnt find much in relevance to my topic.. sorry if theres something already.

if you guys could post up all info relevant to me modifying a sprinkler valve with a guide rod that would be great.

cheers guys :)

my valve has a guide rod infact all of mine have, For the one on my most recent gun the guide rod was joined at the bottom of the valve so i still put the hose barb on the top center. For all my others it was joined to the lid so i offset the barb to one side of it

works same either way
