Strength of Galvanized Fittings?

When I made a trip to the local Lowe's, I looked into their heating aisle and found galvanized fittings like this:

What I saw on the box that contained them was "Do not use for pressures higher than 150psi" Do any of you know how high of a pressure one can take these fittings to? I will be using these fittings for my semi-auto airsoft gun:

Will these fittings withstand 400psi?

-thanks-

DYI used them at 500psi constant pressure in a pneumatic and in a range from 1000 - 1500 on a hybrid BUT they are not safe at all over 500psi

Probably.

I've used them to 500psi constant pressure and over 1200psi for a short time in 2" size. I've taken a 1/4" one to 2000psi with unregged nitrogen pressurising the water filled pipe and fitting with no failure.

This doesn't mean that you can do the same successfully, but they have a very high safety factor incorporated because of the (obviously) shoddy methods used in their construction.

not all galvanized fittings are of poor quality.. what you have in shops in US are chinese made products becasue they are cheaper

you know that you can buy steel fittings for high pressure applications ? AFAIK Mcmaster has them

Thanks a lot guys! That saves me a lot of trouble because those galvanized fittings are perfect for my project. I will be using 3/4" and 2" size.
