Not sure if anyone apart from people from the Uk will know, but does anybody have any ideas of what will fit in a length of 10bar rated 90mm pipe.

The bore is 81.4mm.

In terms of ammunition?

A typical soup tin is around 75mm in diameter, a few wrappings of duct tape and you've got a good sabot ;)

What on earth do you have in mind? Rebarrelling your tennis ball cannon?

Where did you get hold of that?

I mean, how much did it cost you?

Err. Lol.

Can't talk about it until I'm sure that there isn't going to be a contest.

It cost me £15 for 2m from Hendersons (www.hendersons.co.uk). There were no delivery charges because I live very close and collected it myself.

Anybody know the diameter of a caulking tube?

A caulking tube is about 50mm if I remember rightly.

If you shot a silicone tube and made it burst, it would make one helluva mess

 Certainly would, although I'm tempted to fill it with cement..

On the 16bar rated 90mm pipe, the bore would be 76.6mm, which is exactly 3". But on the other hand costs a fair bit more.

lol cement would probably make a mess to, there'll be bits of whatever your shooting at everywhere :)

Imo its better to go for the slightly bigger bore, because its easier to make your ammo bigger than it is to make it smaller.

I suppose so, and I won't have to buy any 16 bar, which would cost the bomb.

I've always wanted to make a cannon to fire pineapples (struck me as a novel idea)... perhaps smallish pineapples? :P

3" is 76.2 mm - so it's not exactly 3"... Sorry, that's just my pedantic side kicking in.

By that logic, every cannon should have a 20" bore, because then you could fire people.
Personally, I love my 20.3mm bores - it just feels "right", and there are lots of cheap things that fit it well.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

Lol Rag, I was only going by the two different sized Maxus was talking about, 20" bore would be quite cool though :D

Most of my cannons only have 15mm bore, but there great fun to shoot.
