If I used a piece of square alluminum stock as a barrel and welded a chamber on, I should be able to make a DICE gun. I've never heard of anyone using a square barrel before so I don't know if it will work.

load 2 dice at a time and play the fastest game of craps ever. lol. post some damage shots if that works out, maybe some square holes in plywood.

I might be able to just slide some aluminum stock in a standard barrel and fill it with expanding foam. With a 4 foot barrel I could fit about a hundred or two dice.

im not sure the aluminum stock will stay in a barrel with just expanding foam. is the aluminum stock perfect size for a regular dye?
I dont see why a square barrel wouldnt work, as long as the ammo fits it. hell it might even look cool with a square chamber.
i launched some fuzzy ones that you hang on rear-view mirrors before, cause they were attached they made a awsome spinny-thingy.
ive seen some solid steel dice before, they were about 1/4 lbs apeice, i think that would do some hardcore damage.
I think the most your gonna cram into a 4' barrel is bout 40 or so.

Square aluminum chamber could be pricey. I say use screws to hold the square stock into the chamber, and then use the foam. If it blows, it blows. It won't kill anyone.

I didn't think of screws. I'm not sure if dice will fit, I've never tried, but I think alluminum stock comes in different sizes.

Ive had this idea for some time. A square barrel and a square chamber.You can drill a hole in both and bolt them directly on top of one another with a rubber seal.That would be a very sleek design.Better yet... replace the rubber seal by a burst disk to make a metal hybrid.

But...the problem I had was how would you succesfully seal the end of a square tube??I found that filling the end with epoxy makes it just leak like a mother..
If you could seal a (round) barrel inside the square one you could make a pneumatic barrel sealing ( square) piston.
It would make for a very cool looking gun.
Bolting the two main tubes on top of one another would be done easily and very clean by tapping threaded holes.

1. Couldn't you just use a square barrel for the pneumatic?
2. Welding is probably the best way to seal it. You'd have to have some experience in welding, though. MIG would probably work best.
3. The metal square stock I've seen is made by bending a band lenghtwise and welding the ends together. This kind of stock doesn't hold much pressure. You'd be better off using gas pipe and a fire extinguisher, par example.

insert a smaller tube or stick into the barrel, this should be 2" to 3" shorter, and fits very snuggly in

heat the 2 or 3 inch thats left with a torch, now you can hammer it into a round pipe, now go to home depot and get it threaded

look it up on mcmaster.com, you could probably find it cheaper too, google "extruded square aluminum"

buy the seamless type, its much more spendy but its solid and should hold pressure the same as pipe, however the flow coefficent will be lower since its not round

Wow you guys took this a few steps higher. I was just planning on using a square barrel shoved into a round PVC barrel. If I made a square chamber and a round barrel I could model it after the .50 Caliber Machine Gun.
