what is the max psi on a direct airline chuck?
I just bought a 50foot, 300psi air hose. If i cut a lenght of 5 feet to use on my compressor will that 5 feet still be able to handle 300psi or not?

Well, do you want to know the max PSI on the air chuck or the hose?
If you cut the hose squarely and used the proper fittings to connect it, then it will be 300 PSIG.
For the air chuck, I would personally not go over 200 PSI.

Let me rephrase that. what other fitting could i use instead of an air chuck because the pressures i'm working with is above 200psi. and as mark and spudblaster said don't go past 200psi with an air chuck.
