Hi, I'm in need of a 6mm airsoft barrel, like a proper one, but I can't get it in my country (Australia). I need to find a way to have a barrel shipped here. I was thinking I might try to find someone who would do it for me for some money. Kind of a desperate thing to do, I know, but hey, I got no more options.

You wont find any aluminum tubing, the closest you will find is 7 mm brass tubing, atleast in my store, which is not to good of a fit on bbs.. if you want to get the best stuff possible go to an autoparts store and ask for 5/16" brakeline... its used in cars.. its the best fit you can get on a bb plus mine came with an adapter so I can thread it on... its basically a barrel made just for bbs and much cheapers than ordering a tightbore barrel just for bbs, trust me, much cheaper. I got 1 meter of 5/16 for 6 dollars I think...

Here is a site to let you know what it looks like plus the fitting for threading it to stuff I was talking about.. (just epoxy the brakeline to the fitting so that it stays there...
Notice the end of the pipe is flared so that the fitting which is basically floating on the pipe dosent fall off, you probably wont understand what I'm talking about till you get to the store but here is a link.

And now a pic of the fittings im talking about (you basically thread them in into a female thread so you can use it as a barrel.

7mm wont provde you with a tight fight as you have a 1mm space between the barrel and the bb, also most aluminum tubing of this size, atleast for me, comes with very VERY thin walls which make it really easy to bend.

I forgot to say that ifyou buy the brakeline you might wanna sleeve it in some copper pipe or somethingh similar as it tends to bend if to much stress is put on it. Wait.. it dosent bend but if you accidentally push it against something it does bend and it takes awhile to get it realigned.

thanks a lot for the brakeline link man, you're a genius. It makes total sense. Does the 5/16 refer to the outside diameter? cos 5/16 icnh is almost 8mm- so is the inside diameter close to 6mm?
PS. Where did you get yours? a local auto parts place?
