Ok.. So I'm basically starting this thread to get a list of spud related ammunition and their corresponding weight (and diameter if possible)... If anyone offers to weight out some things or if any of you know the weight of something of the top off your head just write them on this thread and I'll keep adding on to the list. I thank everyone that participates in this thread and I'm sure this will help alot of spudders out there looking for specifics on different ammo.

Also do you guys think this "list" should include food ammo such as potatoes, any type of vegetables, fruits, etc? I think it would be complicated but I could give a close estimate of what each weight in different diam.. for example how much does a 2" potato slug weight, etc, etc.

Also in addition to the weight, if you want, you can give the diameter of the ammunition in (preferably) inches.

(You don´t have to actually weight stuff... you can help out by just adding on to the list of common ammo used in potato guns)

Edit: You mentioned GGDT but can you also do it on HGDT?
Also, I think for diameter measurments we should give it out in inches unless we are dealing with small diameter barrels...Due to the fact that most people use pvc,metal,copper usually measured in inches (in america).
Edit 2: I think that we should use only one unit of measurment ... so what will it be in ounces or grams?

You have 6mm airsoft BB as .008818 oz.
That is .25g.

Typically Airsoft BB's come in a variety of weights.

These are the most common:

.12g (BB's that are typically not recommended for any midrange airsoft gun or higher)
.20g (Standard Weight for Chronographing for Airsoft Field Use)
Most fields require 400fps or lower with .20g BB for outdoor use. There are rules that allow you to have a gun shooting higher, but it is classified as a DMR or a Sniper Rifle.
.23g (**Personally recommended for any gun shooting 330fps to 360fps)
.25g(**Personally recommended for 350fps-390fps)
.28g(**Personally recommended for 370fps-430fps)

** figures depend on the quality of the hopup and all fps measurements are done with .20g BBs. For example:
If your gun is shooting 350fps with .20g, chances are you could probably use .23g or .25g. Again it depends on the hopup.

There are also .26g .30g, .36g, .40g, .43 but are less common and/or used for Sniper Rifles or DMR's.

I have a balance accurate to 0.00001 grams at work if anyone needs anything specific (that I also have in my possesion) weighed

I hope this will help you to realize that imperial units are used in USA or UK because of tradition not because they make things easier

I should point out that marbles come in highly variable sizes. However, marbles do tend to be made out of glass of a density of 2.5 g/cm³, so it's not too hard to work out their rough weight if you know the diameter reasonably accurately.

Similar thing with bouncy balls - not of a uniform size, but mostly a consistent density.

I've actually got a list of this kind of thing that I've been compiling as part of the LRC project. Dimensions, masses and drag coefficients of a few hundred different things... you would not believe the time it's taken to sort out.

@Jack: That sounds... excessive. For most things, I can't see the necessity in trying to get more than 99% accuracy in projectile weight.
(That said, there is a demand for ~99.9% accuracy for one thing I'm doing)
