Has anyone here ever made Bondo spudgun rounds? Here's my thinking: Take a few 4" long pieces of 2" PVC and pack them with Bondo. Once the Bondo hardens tap out the Bondo slug and shape it into a big freakin bullet. In my minds eye I kinda' see it as a 40mm grenade for an M203. Any thoughts?

IIRC, _latke wound up using wooden slugs due to repeatability and reusability. I think it would start costing a good penny to be making rounds out of Bondo. Save it and start fixing the dents in your car.

EDIT: Good to see you around again, Mike. I remember liking your work a lot.

I made a Bondo slug and it sucked. To light, to hard to get out of the pipe and to messy...

You should tried putting oil around the bondo first maybe? (Hard to do but possible?)

I haven't made one. I might. I don't really use bondo, too expensive.

I made one for a piston and just tapped the plug on a table once and it popped right out

Why not try craft plaster? With a strong enough gun, you could get a nice shattering on a hard enough target.

You could also shape the ammunition into virtually anything.

why not use wax?
i use a blend, 80% candle wax 20% crayon wax. (roughly)

you can make it any colour you want, and it leaves a nice mark where you hit your target.

i also rly like Gaderelguitarist idea.

I thought about plaster but thought it would take too long to dry. Bondo hardening is a chemical process not drying process. Maybe I'll give it a shot.

True enough, but I think you can occupy yourself for 30 minutes. Just make large batches so you're not making one bullet at a time.
