Hour Glass Shapped Dart

After shot.

To make: Cut 6 1-1/2" slits in the shotshell hull and tie a waist with dental floss.

220 gr 717 fps seemed to fly straight.

Penetrated 3 sheets of 3/4 plywood.

I believe that they are OK.

The shot was at 25 feet.

That is a very strange shape... Do you know any pros or cons or this shape? It is cool but seems like extra work to get the same effect... :?

Some of my darts have tumbled for unknown reasons.

I am shooting them pretty fast and I want them to always fly straight.

Only time will tell if the hour glass shape is superior.

The sliced section has the potential to spin stabilize the dart.

Ok I understand now... Pretty much just searching for the perfect dart. Sounds good. :)
