I think it's got more to do with whatever they're consuming :) keep the PUI nice gentlemen hehehe
Looks nice, but do you ever clean your tools?
Hehe that's not mine... though to be honest there's so much delrin swarf on the mill right now it looks like a winter wonderland scene :)
Nope, just the cheapest option.. Maybe the sharp stuff looked a bit suspicious
Nah, the cheaper option just takes longer. I hope it doesn't stick to any postman's hand...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

This is why I love spudfiles :D

I just received a collection of sharpened HSS bits, what I presume to be sharpened tungsten welding rods, one Canadian cent to help me with my transatlantic plans all framed with an edited picture of me pulled from my facebook page. :D :D :D

Ten points Labtec, cheers!

Hehe it didn't take that long to make :)

Just over 18 grams, a bit light for a shotgun load but it should be enough. I think I'll make the others with brass bodies and delrin fins though.

You could probably kill 10 people with one of them skewer style... But we don't discuss that here :P I mean hell nobody discusses that ANYWHERE!

Looks sick Jack, they better have a launcher that is deserving of such works of art...

You can kill someone with a roll of toilet paper, it doesn't mean you should :)

That's a very sheltered life you live my friend...

These are all for a 12 gauge shotgun :)

I figured they could do with less improvised rounds...

jsr, would moulding epoxy around the nails be cheaper?
also i think that you should make a lead bodyed slug for demolition ranch and tell them to blow the livin crap out of the armor plate

Way ahead of you there, see attached pic. They're a bit light though, around 0.6 oz.

The idea is that they would act like Frangible Armor Piercing rounds, where they would penetrate a hard layer and break up in the process having a shotgun effect behind it.

If you watch the video they tried lead slugs already, that's not a good idea for penetrating armor - in general you want your projectile to be harder than whatever you're trying to penetrate - although if it's going fast enough even copper will penetrate hardened steel.

Sorry i kinda ment that you should shape a block of lead like the fins and body like the aluminum then you should take the hardest metal you have and make that the actual dart.
