Hello,
I am currently working on a HPA project and am having trouble finding places which sell pipes and fittings rated at 3000-4500psi. I require them to withstand the pressure for a small amount of time, not just pass straight through them. I was wondering if anyone could help me in my ordeal and recommend an online or local retailer.

Hydraulics or oifield supply stores is where I would look...guarantee home depot would be a waste of time.

Check your yellow pages, and prepare for sticker shock...this stuff isn't cheap.

HPA good, but in most cases, overkill.

It would be better to tell us what you want yo achieve, to see if more could be done with less

If you're only working with small dimensions, it may be easier to buy some stock material and drill/tap your own threads. It's not all that hard to make a 'class 3000' elbow or tee for example, even if you only have a hand drill and tap/die set.

I haven't noticed the same issues with 3000# pipe and fittings that SB15 describes. The few that I've bought have been no more than 2-3x the price of the 150# variety available at hardware stores. Perhaps the costs are very high in my location. As a comparison point, a 150# 2" black union costs about $14 here, whereas a 3000# 2" black union from McMaster is ~$30.
