At least I put a warning
WARNING: If you mod your blowgun following this tutorial, do not blame me if it leaks. I have done this several times and have never got a leak. Though at 400PSI, the trigger is a bit harder to pull
Make sure that there isn't any debris (teflon tape, metal shards, dust) in the seals or on the valve seat. The reason it will leak is because you drilled the hole too big, I imagine.
I had completely forgotten about that tutorial, I probably could make a better one now but I'm not really interested. There are pneubs out there who would have more enthusiasm doing it than I
P.S. Is that the thread where the whole 'cheap batteries' thing started?

I made one and it worked fine. For testing I hooked it up to my compressor and it released more air faster than the un modified blow gun. Good tutorial .

Try blowing it out with another blowgun if you have one theres probably a bunch of shizznitt in it...

I know this is a little of topic but. The blow gun i use doesn't say what pressure its rated to but I use it to 125psi. do you think its safe.

Sorry to make an example of you here, but:
1: How do we know what type of blowgun you use?
2: Safe for what? I'm sure the blowgun is safe unless you try and eat it whole or tie a piece of rope around it and whirl it around your head like a mace to try and hurt people with. I probably wouldn't try and poke your eye out with it either. Apart from that, it's probably safe if you just leave it alone and let it be.
edit: look through the pneumatic showcase section for cannons that use the same blowgun as yours. If people are using them at above 125PSI (it will probably say so in the thread), then one could assume it is reasonably safe for pressures above 125PSI. If you've searched dozens of topics and still can't find your blowgun, you could try giving us a model number, brand name or image from Google of the blowgun and then formulating an appropriate question such as: "this blowgun is rated for 125PSI, but I want to use it at 200PSI. Do you think I can use it safely at those pressures?".

Sorry i meant if it was safe for that pressure. And is it? I know you already kind of answered that I just wanted a second opinion after I gave more details about it.
And when your at it whats manometric metering JK lol.

I would assume it is perfectly safe at 125PSI but seeing as I don't know what kind of blowgun it is I can only speculate. If it's made of metal, it wont fail catastrophically at 125PSI; worse that will happen is the seals will fail and your cannon would fire without warning.

If you want more air through a blowgun, the above posts are on track. If you want to vent more air for a piston pilot, than a blowgun on a QEV will do the trick nicely and flow at a much higher rate than a modified blowgun.
