M203 Grenade Idea

I dont know whether the paintball M203s launchers actually launch M203 like grenades.
Heres my idea for an M203 grenade that could be launched from a launcher and "explode" and shoot paint around. What would happen is that the M203 grenade cylinder would be compressed forcing paint out the back though holes to spread it around. You would contain the paint in the white area inside the M203 grenade.
You would probably need some sort of paper or something to cover the holes before and during the launch to keep the paint from dripping out.

Good thinking, but, whats keeping the plunger from pushing the paint out through holes during flight? Plus the launch will create a instent push on the plunger. A weak spring maby? A angled set of holes will be better for the paint deployment, up and out instead of just straight out. With angled holes you probly won't drag the paint out during the flight, and very tight tolerances in the build will create a vacum good enough to keep the paint from running out, (maby), as long as your quick when you load and fire.

I've already developed a grenade launcher that launches plastic shells. I was going to try something similar.

You 2 need to work together and make it work really good. I think Codd's idea is very, very workable. Trying selleing the finished colaberated design to nerf/paint ball makers would be more interested i bet!

Actually, this morning when i was taking a shower, i thought of exactly the same thing. A (weak) spring to keep the paint from spilling out the back and angled holes (assumed to angle away from the front of the 203) to force paint to go higher (and possibly farther). Also, instead of using 3 different sizes of PVC, im sure people can use rubber rings or something.

Also, I think that smaller holes (but more of em) would do.

How about O-Rings to seal the paint in.

I dont know if that would work cause you need 1 O ring on the inside (sliding) tube and one on the outside tube. This would keep them from slipping apart. Then again, 1 O ring and a stopper ring or something would do.

Whats your idea(s) (asking a question, not trying to put your idea down)?

One more thing, any paint driping out during flight getting on apponits is considered collateral damage!!

My Idea Is simple combining that other guy’s mini M203 idea with my shells that are similar to the spigot grenades of WWII. It's too dangerous to use with paintball! I'll post a pic soon.
