working on a valve

i plan to make a valve like this one:

where could i find the rubber disk, metal disk and spring?
also,a goyen high flow valve behind the piston be better than just a blowgun, right?

go to Mcmaster.com they have every thing you need its where all the spudgunners go for these kind of parts

if i got a rubber rod how would i go about cutting a disk off of it?

Rubber rod?I think you would want sheet rubber not rubber rod or neoprene as it is comonly called.Just go to a hardwear store and have a look around.

Hardware store = pluming department = sink parts = washer bin = rubber washer.
Thats the steps i rolled when i needed a sealing washer, worked for me.

well you'd need a circle thats pretty perfect for an airtight seal and they dont have what i want in disks. i think ill just go with the washer.
