DISMY Pipe(1400PSI!)

I found this pipe on a New Zealand auction site, Its called 'DISMY PP-R Pipe'

Its green and ranges in size from 3/4" - 6.4" for fittings and pipe.
The fittings are dirt cheap(for me)
But here's the good part, I asked what the pressure rating is and the person said 'Yes, it is pressure rated - we have a chart detailing permissible working pressure for the different temperatures and PN ratings from 1 to 100'
So if you can get this in PN100 pipe that means its rated to 1400PSI!
I thought that can't be right, so I asked for some more info which is getting emailed to me soon.
Im still trying to figure out what solvent you use and if it can be used with PVC which I doubt as it is very thick.

Here's a picture of some of the products:

I will keep you updated as if it is really rated to 1400psi(which is hard to believe)it could be very useful for high pressure systems.
Ive looked for more info online but can't find anything, let me know if you have heard anything.

Looks good. How cheap is dirt though? What sort of prices are we talking? Also, do they have the same types of parts and fittings as normal PVC, like male adapters and the likes? If so, this could be the newest breaking development in spud gunning.

I have no idea. But they look like 3/8" thick which would make them very heavy. I can buy 4m of 20mm for $2.50NZD. A proper piece of PVC 20mm would cost me like $20NZD. Im buying pipe at American Prices! :P

It doesn't say, just gives it as an example.

@mega_swordsman: They say the have many many different fittings of all shapes.sizes and thicknesses. They say.

The reason its so cheap is because this person bought a business that came with a whole stock range of this stuff which they want gone.

Just did some research. The pipe and fittings are made from Polypropylene which is solvent welded and the pipes and fittings go upto a PN1000 rating!! and are safe for upto 50 Years at there maximum running pressure and readily work at temperatures of 0-100*c without any effect.

Watch the State Of Origin people!

Link for info about the pipe.

When they say welding they don't mean solvent welding.

They mean fusion welding with one of these: http://china-pipes.en.alibaba.com/produ ... chine.html

Essentially melting the pipe and fitting together.

It is bent. It made that way, I assume it works the same way as a U-Trap does.
