Well I think I caught the Pneumatic fever. I also have muscle pain from constantly pumping my gun with a bike pump....So I am willing to invest in a Compressor....(a cheap compressor that is).

Any advice?

I got a 5 gallon, 3 hp compressor on sale for $90 new at Kragen Autoparts. They're not a huge amount, but they're enough to make you think about it.

Yeah. Try pumping harder instead of whining :D

Seriously, hand pumps are a great form of practical exercise, unless you have a gold ball machine gun to feed you don't really *need* a compressor, plus you'll be doing the environment a favour, think about that.

Yes, I have a compressor in my garage ;)

On another note, does anyone have any human-powered pump reccomendations? The last 3 I've purchased have died on me in fairly short order.

This one from Planet Bike works well for me:

Overall, a sturdy pump with an easy to read pressure gauge for under $40.

I've used my pump (160 psi max) at 350 for one shot, all the rest were under 220. I think it's a Blackburn something. I found it!

I have abused my Diamondback AirMax for years now. It still easily reaches 160 psi, and it has very high flow.

I used a double pump to fill..it pumps air into whatever even though you pull it back so frankly, it pumps quickly and is capableof 130 psi.
