I know that 15mm compression fittings have practically identical threads to 1/2" BSP, just a bit shorter than normal.

Did you force fit it? They really aren't designed to thread onto other types of Thread. I certainly wouldn't just blindly buy them and expect them to fit.

The 1/4" ones fit into the threaded outlet left when you remove the torch stem from a Bernzomatic head.
The 3/8" ones ALMOST thread into the neck of a 20 oz. CO2 bottle.

Guys, guys, GUYS! It depends on thread count per inch/mm and the pitch.

I love this equivalence - so many uses. Just add a little more PTFE tape, and it's all fine.
For others, examples of this one can be seen
here (Ragnarok's work where a 28mm-15mm reducer leads into the cylinder port of a 1/2" QEV, and a 15mm tee is leads from the exhaust), and
here (Jim/LucyintheSky's work, where a 15mm elbow leads into the 1/2" QEV's chamber port).
I assume that's what you want to do?
If you can get your hands on a thread gauge and set of Vernier calipers, then you should be able to measure the threads of different things to compare them.

yeah, well if the threads dont end up working, do you guys have any idea to get a 1/2 copper barrel into a threaded tee coaxialy ?

A compression fitting doesn't have NPT though....

I have tried using compression female fittings on a length of iron pipe and the threads were not similar.
But speaking of co2 and 3/8" threads, a co2 bottle threads are close to 3/8 npt but not the same, so I just tapped some 3/8" ones in with ease.

Hawkeye, SpudBlaster said that the compression fitting was threaded onto a pipe nipple. This leads us to believe that it was a female compression fitting, which have female NPT threads on them.
