Blb is rite, kinda, all semi-auto's have a pin in the bolt, there is a nipple on that pin that catch's a slideing piece, file the nipple half the lenth and waaalaaaa. It's getting that pin in and out thats the difficult, some bolts, when you take them apart you need certin tools to put them back together again, or you damage the bolt and wasted your time, worse yet broken the bolt beyond use!

anyone who uses automatic guns rifles or anything shouldnt be aloud to use them they are a waste of money and ammo and all you need to be able to do is hold it and pull the trigger and be able to control it and australias army use steyr aug and they only ever have them on semi-auto i have watched people shoot em very very cool
...because its the government's job to keep us from having fun if it means being wasteful? Sorry bud, but you don't seem to know America very well. Oh, and the US army's standard battle rifle, the M-16A2 (soon to be A3) has only semi and 3-round burst. Your comparison is useless though, as these are civilians who have automatic weapons. I'm not surprised that you'd mistake that, as ole Aussie-land-ia doesn't allow its citizens to own anything resembling a firearm (because guns are scary), much less the right to have fun and be excessively wasteful.

I never knew M-16's on full auto only fired 3 round burst, i allways thought it was ideal to fire short burst to maintain control of the weapon.
Where did you guy's hear they only fire 3 round's?
Kind of a conderdiction to call it fully automatic if it only fire's 3 round's when set on full auto. Don't you think so?

# 1981. Colt developed a variation of the M16A1, adapted for the SS109/5.56mm NATO cartridge, and submitted it to the military trials as the M16A1E1. This rifle differed from the M16A1 by having the heavier barrel with faster 1:7 rifling, a different type rear sights (adjustable for both range and windage), round handguards instead of triangular ones, and by replacing the full-auto fire mode with the burst (limited to 3 rounds per trigger pull), to preserve the ammunition.

# 1983. US Marine Corps adopted the M61A2 rifle.
# 1985. US Army officially adopted the M16A2 as the general issue infantry rifle.
# 1988. The FN Manufacturing Co, an US subsidiary of the FN Herstal (Belgium), becomes the key contractor to US DoD for production of the M16A2 rifles. Colt continues the development and manufacture of the AR-15 / M16 type rifles only for civilian and law enforcement markets from that point.
# 1994. Adoption of the latest variations of the M16 breed. Those include: M16A3and M16A4 rifles, with "flat top" receivers, that had a Picatinny accessory rails in the place of the integral carrying handle. The rail can be used to mount detachable carrying handle with iron rear sights, or various sighting devices (Night/IR, optics etc). The M16A4 otherwise is similar to M16A2, while M16A3 has a full-auto capability instead of the 3-rounds burst. Two other newest AR-15 offsprings are the M4 and M4A1 carbines.

yeah, my uncle has a large machinegun collection, he has, 2 mp5s 1 m16, a belt fed browning 30 caliber, and a few automatic glocks. he is in the military(sort of) and has friends in the FBI and the CIA so he got a machine gun permit 
in the upcoming presidential election, there will be several candidates who will be running, one of whom is Hillary Clinton. Now WAIT A SECOND!!! I though there was some sort of rule that prevented someone from serving more than two terms in office. Vote Against Hillary: Presidential Elections 08
