IMO, It is what it is.
They're probably not very sharp. The poles are flimsy too. But I bet if someone did it wrong, they'd get messed up.
A lot of that stuff is just to build confidence so when the time comes they'll "pull their head out their @ss" and knock someone flat without being too scared.
