No clue. I actually spent more time looking at the iron sights than I did the scope. (Who knew that they had iron sights on them?)

I don't design weapons. I test them (which often requires a lot of design work in and of itself....some tests involve "unique" situations that are difficult to model in a laboratory environment).

And yes, I'm connected to the military some how.

Sigh.... Have I mentioned that I love my job?

I found out today that sometime in the next month I'm getting a catapult ride. More to the point: USS John Stennis + C2 aircraft = a kick in d_hall's arse. Yeeeehaaaw!

I'm looking forward to this one.

So would I, but when you're hitch hiking you generally don't get to pick your ride.

I probably wouldn't complain even if I was strapped to one of the underwing hardpoints :)

How about an F-14 and an A6? 1200 pounds of steam catapulting you off the deck is RUSH.

Made friends with the squadron commander and since one of the REO's was sick, I got to ride along when they off loaded the squadron before coming into home port. It was OK until the pilot started showing off. I still get dizzy thinking about it.
