Fridge compressors and recycling centres

just ask or call ahead and save the gas money!!!

Probably not, but you may get lucky. When you buy a refrigerator these days, the people selling you the fridge often offer you 50 dollars for your old one and free removal. I have went looking at my local center a few times and have struck out. Look around at yard sales for those little mini refrigerators, the compressor in those will work just as good!! Well they drain the oil and the refrigerant and then put the compressors in a cage for landfill so they might give me one anyhow ts recycling

So that's around 15-16km, you've got it easy. My "local" scrapyard is 40km.

most mini fridges are compressor less, and very dangeres to open so beware. also full size fridge compressors have poor flow so i would aim for the biggest one i could find.
