An FYI as well, Granted in some countries spudguns and highpowered pneumatics are frowned upon by the establishment(normally a slap on the wrist), Flamethrowers(anything that projects incendiary fuel<you can throw flames but cannot project fuel) is considered a WMD and not only highly illegal in all countries, is also in violation of UN weapons bans)... Get caught and you are facing multiple felonies as well as the possibility of being charged as a terrorist...

I'm not sure if they are illegal or not, but on Yahoo answers someone asked if they were illegal, and they got this answer...
Yahoo Answers wrote:In the United States, private ownership of a flamethrower is not restricted by federal law, but is restricted in some of its states, such as California, by state laws (c.f. California Health and Welfare Codes 12750-12761, Flamethrowing Devices) CA H&W Code on line
Maybe he should call the local police station before continuing with this project, if he hasn't already...

I vote that even though currently it's a grey area, that flamethrowers be enumerated as a banned topic in the rules...

OK guys, flame throwers have been discussed on Spudfiles before, but not for quit some time. I've seen no mention of whats coming out of this devise (if I missed it point it out) except for whats in the poll, nothing against the rules there.

jeepkahn, makes a sound statement, and in lue of keeping Spudfiles safe at all cost I'm locking this thread.

All the edited post didn't help anybodies rep., it indicates trouble along with the wording of the replies, we don't need that.

There are better places to inquire about your project, find one.
