You could shave a small section off, hopefully centred enough to still get a true 12mm section.
Can you borrow one of these off a plumber ?

Sadly cant remember what they are called in English...
How about using old airgun pellets insteadjrrdw wrote:Roll of paper towels, a drift pin and a heavy hammer says you can put it together pack in the paper towels until you get the expansion you need.

While elegant, also rather more complex than I need. I've got 14 of these to do, so any solution needs to be fairly simple.velocity3x wrote:Make two tapered plugs or wedges to fit on each end of the "hinge". Drill both and thread one. Yes. As far as how I am, I'm fairly sure I'm not dead.jrrdw wrote:Good to hear from you, it's been a while...
Nicely done!Ragnarok wrote:sculpting the Battle Sister (<a href="http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/yy3/ ... .jpg">Link to a photo that really doesn't do her justice</a>)

I'd first like to mention something along these lines... a test plug, if you can find one the right size, would work the same way (the plugs you tighten with a screw).velocity3x wrote:Make two tapered plugs or wedges to fit on each end of the "hinge". Only reason it's not used in real life is because it takes to long to reload!Ragnarok wrote:Turns out that fanatical battle nuns with power armour, a weapon where "what you'd get if you bolted a chainsaw to an automatic shotgun loaded with rocket boosted grenades" is an understatement and no understanding of subtlety are rather entertaining to play in games.

This makes it adjustable to your liking.
Do you have a lot of patience or are you simply constantly driven to perfection?
Whatever it is, the result is amazing.
It's not just a skill.
It feels more like art to me than the crap they tried to teach me when I studied to be an art teacher.
I dropped out cause of the B.S.

Can you imagine I once had really long hair?
Probably half a meter.
Been baldheaded since the age of 26 though...
In this case, the latter. I can't really stand going for second best with my sculpting. I'll often rework areas several times before they're done.Brian the brain wrote:Do you have a lot of patience or are you simply constantly driven to perfection?
Well, I can't comment on what is art and what isn't, because it's all subjective. But I still know that it's mostly taught horribly. It feels more like art to me than the crap they tried to teach me when I studied to be an art teacher.

Thus proving he is also the most emasculated gundog in the world as well.jrrdw wrote:A note about your gun shy dog, if she see's what's making the noise and that it wont hurt her she will get used to it.
Good for you....a very noble act indeed. We just lost a Golden that I rescued 15 years ago. I "convinced" the former, abusive owners to "give" her to me.Ragnarok wrote:As to the actual point, the thing is, he's a rescue dog....
