Ubuntu Linux!!!!

Linux is not immune from threats. What it has going for it is it's multi-user configuration, and people aren't browsing the web or running scripts with root access to their machine.

No system is immune to attacks. Ask any IT professional who's ever run a linux server whether they are, and they'll tell you that.
While that is true, a non-root linux box is much less likely to catch something than any windows machine.

even so, I have ClamAV installed JIC
Notice how many Windows vs Linux worms are caught? :) It is true that it does catch some flash or PDF, or Firefox exploits, many which then go on to try an attack Windows that isn't there. :D

Well, if you're that pedantic...

My actual computer desktop, along with the "General Junk" folder which just gets anything that was on the desktop piled into it. Basically, "General Junk" is my desktop's desk drawer.

Also, before you ask about the open files, LRCV3-0 has (Working) appended to the filename because it's the copy I'm currently working on.
Interest in the open Word document is left as an exercise for the viewer.

And the actual desk, along with the patches where I've worn away the colour on my laptop because of where my hands sit (same with the mouse)... and a large jug of orange squash, which is the result of my need to drink insane amounts...

Congratulations Ragnorok! You're the third person in 11 pages to post their actual desktop.

Mine actually got cleaner since yesterday, so I probably should have waited... but oh well.

EDIT: What's with the fairies, Tech? Did you render those yourself?

My wife objected to my last wall paper. I found that one on some random wallpaper page. I didn't render it. She likes it. :D

Mark, This picture probably doesn't count as you can't see the desktop due to the junk. :D

I wasn't entirely honest. I did a quick clean-up on my desk to try and deal with the mess of wires and a couple of scattered items. It's still not great, but it's better than it was earlier - it normally looks like it's played host to a small explosion.

I'm surprised nobody's included the obligatory T.A. Edison quote about desks by now. :)

EDIT: eh, make that Einstein's quote...

There used to be a 2 pint jug. My parents decided they were going to mix paint in it. Now there's only a 1 pint jug, and that's much duller.

I should hope so. If it didn't look like something, but it was still there, then that would just be dangerous.

It would BLOW YOUR MIND!

But meh, it's probably supposed to do that anyway.... what were we talking about again? I've not slept in 34 hours, I lose track of things.

Ugh, since when did I do four periods in an ellipsis? I must be off the norm.
