I'd second technicians idea on this. I've used a small diesel engine fuel pump to shoot H2O before. An 18 vt cordless drill battery and about a foot of 1/8" copper tubing will produce a fairly coherent stream about 15 ft long.

Way safer than a pressurized system

However I don't recommend using actual water with them. It may cause internal rust on some models.
