Velocity, I've got a lot of time for your technical skill, but I expect that kind of talk from a 13 year old COD kiddy. Do you honestly expect to pull off a perfect headshot at 0230 by a loud crash? No, you'll shoot a dozen times, hit him/them a few times, potentially get shot, and put a lot of holes in things.

I said earlier, you say there's no practical use for fully automatic firearms (not weapons), and there's no use for V8 cars, arguably they cause quite significant damage to the environment, so should the government ban them too?

How about hunting rifles? You don't need anything bigger than a .300 win mag for north American game, so we should ban them too. Spudguns have no practical purpose, so again, they should be banned.

And this one is just for you PVC Arsenal, nerf guns promote violent behavior in children and serve no practical purpose, so they should be banned too, right?

Remember, sometimes we can have stuff for fun, and very few of the SHTF lots would consider an F/A firearm practical.

I think most of those arguments, Zeus, are inherently flawed so I probably should lock the topic here rather than respond (or let someone else respond) to those arguments. Because I'm a moderator and have the ability to always have the last say, I don't think it would be fair if I respond to those arguments and then lock the topic.

I'm not locking it because everyone didn't behave, I'm doing so because this isn't the place to have such a discussion and a lock is inevitable anyway. If another mod has a different opinion, he may open the topic and I wont object.
