schmanman, you've got me hooked on a new band!

Three Days Grace is one of my all time favorites. Depressing lyrics, hard hitting music, birlliant stuff. Although I'm not into Nu Metal that much, disturbed is good too. Can't say Ive never heard of Underoath though.

Three good bands: Ulver, Opeth and Necrophagist.

Listen to them and you'll see why.

am I the only one who likes... happy music?
Movie dialogue: "The good die first."
Tom: "But most of us are morally ambiguous, which explains our random dying
patterns."

lol that is weird. If you like Iron Maiden you should like Helloween :P
they're a mint german band that sings in English from way back in the 80's but still have great albums today, their best 2 albums would be "keeper of the seven keys Part II" and "Rabbit don't come easy".

Yes, Black Stone Cherry. I love Lonely Train, such a good song. Never really like any southern metal, other than Clutch, but that is catchy stuff.

I can see why you like Necrophagist, they have definitely one of the most unique musical styles ever. Ulver and Opeth are more progressive metal, since Ulver went from Death Metal in the 80's, to now, where they incorporate electronica and stuff. Opeth, is really good, but has a lot of accoustic stuff in their music. Good nonetheless.

Ok, I really don't like death metal that much. Freaks me out sometimes...
All the singers do aughghhhhhhhhwawauawuashashsaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
and sound like their puking their guts up.

Thats just my opinion.

Those bands you suggested drac, are those death metal?

EDIT: Oh, never mind drac, I found your previous post. Duh....

so, ammosmoke, you listened to "behemoth", eh  ? I do not like it tat much, but there are some exceptions, like lamb of god, and behemoth. s.o.a.d is the type of music I really like. black sabbath may not be the heaviest, but ti sounds sooooo much more evil than anything out there today (they are my favorite band). and black label society are really good.

PLEASE please please please watch this video
(The video is kinda dumb, but Its a great song)

Its ok, better than some bands i've heard, but I like Disturbed better.
Plus, Disturbed doesn't usually have some freaky naked chic in their videos. And, they can sing. Its all a matter of opinion I guess.

EDIT: Has anyone here noticed how good disturbed's leading guitarist is!?!

oh, ammosmoke disturbed is right up there in my top five, too. They were SPECTULAR at ozzfest. Although so were b.l.s and s.o.a.d. were going next year, too. Ozzy wasn't there this year, not in Michigan, but he was at the previous and the stop after us.

Heavy death metal where the singers are like HUUUGHGHGHGHGLIGHGHGUWEEUGGHGUUUGHGHHGHG!!!!!!!!!!
just isn't appealing to me. Its nice if they at least sound human.

Edit: That is why I like disturbed and three days grace, because 1. I can understand them, and 2. for some reason, the demon voiced singers freak me out. 3. Disturbed and three days grace don't have a demon's voice.
Thats all.

Dan Donegan? He's pretty good, but there are some other guitarists who could slay him with one note. Jeff Hannenman from Slayer, Kirk Hammet from Metallica, Matt and Corey from Trivium.

I actually enjoy the demon voices (cookie monster vocals), it draws my attention to the music more. If you hate death metal voices, DON'T listen to Cryptopsy, lol, Lord Worm has the most intense growl, and he can hold a scream for 28 seconds!

Disturbed and 3DG aren't really metal, Disturbed is more Nu Metal and 3DG is Alternative, but they are both good.

And, no schmanman, never heard of that name before, but I think it's spelled different then that. Szmantowski or something along the lines of that. I can speak Polish pretty well, but can't spell or write with it for crap.
