nice judment arms you have successfully designed an effective airbusrting system that is based n rotation like real air bursting grenades or at least the high tech ones, however I'm not sure that the parachute could effectively rotate the threads, you think it could use a spring assist with a twisted rubber band or something

I finally figured out why the two dixie cups stay togeather untill they reach the max height. The initial force loosens the tape. But some people ask what is keeping the cups to fall apart right outside the barrel. At first I didnt really understand what kept it from falling apart right out the barrel but then I figured it out.
The velocity of the object along with the air resistance that comes with it keeps the cups pressed togeather. When it starts to slow down or reach the top of its flight there isnt enough velocity and thus air resistance to keep the cups togeather. Therefore they fall apart.
Ive tried the two cups and it works and now I figured out why it works.

Tail fins induce rotation, parachute only does the actual bursting.iknowmy3tables wrote:nice judment arms you have successfully designed an effective airbusrting system that is based n rotation like real air bursting grenades or at least the high tech ones, however I'm not sure that the parachute could effectively rotate the threads, you think it could use a spring assist with a twisted rubber band or something
I’d like to add that I’ve made a 2” prototype and it worked beautifully, unfortunately faulty construction materials caused it to break before any real test could be made…

I have approval to build a prototype of the parachute system. Expect an actual prototype and test results within a month. I have decided on a huge chamber: 8in*32-40in ( i am unsure of length of chamber, but i believe the numbers depicted are reasonable range. Barrel will be 4 in. The shell will be 4 in* 14in. Estimated capacity 20,000 rounds (OVERKILL!). BArrel length 5 feet.

Unless that's as long as the design criteria allow, please make the barrel longer. What you're talking about has a C:B ratio of like 3:1BArrel length 5 feet.

Sometimes depending on the area it is hard to get a 12' stick. Im guessing 5 feet is the longest he can get.
If you can however go longer I would actually suggest a 10 or a 12' stick for the price.

10 or 12' sticks are available at any real hardware store, it's the 20' sticks that you need a more dedicated supplier for.

Home depot, other than wal mart the greatest place of gathering for red necks (I apologize to whoever this may apply). Why is longer better, if it is shorter you get more power!

lol is right.
I'm really, really hoping you didn't mean that. Just a pointer, when you're being sarcastic on the internet, make it obvious. Saying stuff like that without a "rolling eyes" smiley or something makes people think you're retarded...Why is longer better, if it is shorter you get more power!

I was being sarcastic, I'll be sure to add the smiley in the future.
I was tested for retardation and failed miserably, wait a minute.
Are these the correct rolling eyes?
