First, I want to say that I put this in the Non-Spudgun Related Discussion section because it is about buying a pellet rifle, not making one.

I'm looking to buy a commercially produced pellet rifle (not homemade) off the internet that must meet the following standards:
1. Single Stroke Pneumatic (not spring piston) with underlever cocking
2. Decent velocity that will not break the sound barrier using PBA Pellets.
3. Rifled barrel
4. Under 250 US dollars

The only one that I could find that met these specifications was the Daisy Powerline 953, but the power is low and I could easily cock a lever with more force than that requires. If only they sold the same thing but wat was harder to cock with more power.

I've searched the internet for so long, to no avail. Anyone know of such an air rifle?

Single stroke pneumatic rifles with "adult" power levels are a bit of a rarity I'm afraid, you won't find one cheap. Some examples that come to mind are the parker hale dragon, titan mohawk, Airlogic Genesis, Daystate Sportsman (2 strokes) but these are all classics that are out of production and highly sought after.

The Benjamin Sheridan 392 is a powerful and reasonably priced multi-pump in 0.22, also available in 0.177 with higher velocity and less power.

Sharp in Japan make some high-quality multi-pumps but i'm not sure if the have a US distributor.

I've searched them, but my main problem is that I want underlever cocking (not break-barrel) and pneumatic (not spring piston) power.

I like that one too, but at 380 US dollars it's out of my price range unfortunately.

The blue streak mister Jack linked you to is the best option if you want a cheap non spring piston Airgun.

I'd get the one with either the <a href="http://www.pyramydair.com/p/benjamin-39 ... ml">pistol like scope</a> Or the one with the <a href="http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/acces ... ssory_id=5"> peepsight</a>.

Edit, you'd need to pump it 10 times, but it is a really nice gun for it's price, it even uses a bolt system to load. It is fairly accurate and powerfull too.

Further don't use pba pellets, they are inaccurate as poo. :(

I know non-PBA pellets (lead, for example) are better to use performance-wise but I want my pellets to be environmentally friendly and safe. I just wish they made bismuth pellets, or at least a heavy safe alternative to lead (pure gold is significantly denser than lead and soft too, but even if they were made, they'd be very pricey).

EDIT: What do people think of these pellets: http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/pelle ... let_id=245? Anyone used them before?

Why dont you want a break barrel? they work really well and are very powerful. i have the Gamo Hunter sport. its about $180 and it works very well and has fair accuracy. i can hit a can at 150 feet with it.

it can use the pba ammo. you can accually hear it break the sound barrier out in the distance, its pretty cool. i like to use lead pellets because they are more accurate and less expencive, but they travel slower.

pretty much any gun from Gamo is going to work well.

I'm just a sucker for the lever-action, I love it. I'm thinking of maybe just paying some extra cash to get this: http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/model ... el_id=1227 instead. I'd get the .177 caliber one. Has anyone used this gun? How do you think it would perform with these pellets: http://www.pyramydair.com/cgi-bin/pelle ... let_id=245?

I don't like any CO2 bb/pellet guns, to needy. Those pellets look bad ass! I bet they hit with a thud. Did you see the one, i think it was rna posted, had a propain hook up. That one i liked. 50,000 shots on one cylinder!

I can't find the cannon you speak of by seaching. Can you link me to it?

Why don't you like CO2? With this gun, I have to load each pellet manually between shots so rapid cooling can't get too bad...

Goose man, that rifle would be a VERY good investment, as it is practicly a pcp with a co2 tank on it, so might you want more power you could buy an air tank and a scuba tank and use that.

For that same reason i'd get the .22 version.
Seeing as it's a logun.. (airforce whatever it's the same really) You won't regret it.

It is probably the most popular pcp of all times.

Hmmmmm, that's a thought; have any good ideas for lead-free ammo for the .22 caliber?

Dude, read the reviews on those pellets... They are crap. A little bit of lead isn't going to hurt anyone, as long as they don't eat it. And trust me, animals are not interested in eating lead.

Which pellets, you mean the PBA? If so, yeah I realize that now. I guess I was just attracted to the big fancy words and such.

I definately don't want lead pellets though. Lead put in the ground will eventually make its way into the water/enviroment. I just don't want to deal with lead and what fun are pellets if you can't eat them?!
