I was wondering if there was anyone on the forum who is more advanced in electronics and can make a small diagram on how to build a flash circuit, Of coarse without flash tube, or any of that special gas for the flash. Just So I can charge up the compacitor to as much as it is on a flash circuit.

So you know a small diagram of a circuit, I can understnad all the symbols and stuff.

Did you want to use it as a ignition source for a combustion cannon? Or do you want a light show? 2 different things.

A flash circuit is just a low-voltage flyback with an extra Hv coil to ionize gas in the tube.

No for a firework ignitor

What he means is that he want to build his own flash circuit....
Its something with transistors and a flyback coil.....

there are plenty of sites out there that have schematics for stun guns.

after reading some of your posts you might want to just use a bbq igniter, capacitors hurt, alot

Why do you want to build your own flash circuit when you can get'm for free? Or buy a disposable camera for ~$10.

The circuit is not all that simple, well to an EE maybe, but since CannonCreator doesn't even know the correct name for a capacitor, building the circuit from scratch isn't a viable option. Besides, built from scratch it'll cost a heck of a lot more than $10.

To charge a cap to 300 volts all you need is the circuit board from a disposable camera. Make a mistake and it'll hurt.

Or, to charge a cap to 300+ volts all you need is 120 VAC mains, a rectifier bridge and a voltage doubler. Make a mistake and it will kill you.
