Spudgun books?

I need 4 books for my science fair project bibliography. I have searched google and can't find any. Does anyone know of any books pertaining to the subject of spudguns or anything related to it?

Backyard balistics.
Print of every topic of spudfiles and compile your own

I'm sure there is some kid hobby related one like "things to do with your kids so you look like your really interested in what they're doing and your wife thinks your being a good father so your chances of having sex that night increase by over 12%" type of books :P

On a more serious note, I don't think there is a book just on spudding, surely you can have internet resources in your bibliography instead of books?

Backyard Ballistics is the only one I know off hand.

What you might do is find books, or printed infromation relating to the function of a potato launcher. For example some material on pneumatics (in general), or alternate means of launching projectiles (ballasts). Not sure what your really covering, but hopefully that will help.

Pisses me off when they require book sources. Some of us aren't stuck in the dark ages, and understand the Internet is not this swirling vortex of false infromation. Anyways...

my requirements for the bibliography are at least 4 books and up to 2 websites. I didn't know this until after I submitted my topic. I might try to find books related to spudguns. AKA pvc, air compression
I'll check out backyard ballistics and Whoosh Bom Splat. Thanks

There is Backyard Ballistics, but that's about as simple as it gets, and often contains inaccurate or dangerous information.

So your science project is pertaining to spudguns? There isn't much that's actually about spudguns, but there is a lot of material on the science behind them. Stoichiometry, gas laws, pneumatic systems, DDT studies, materials strength, plastic compositions and metal alloys, combustion studies, and pressure vessel design all come to mind.

MrC, perhaps you should write a book called that - or maybe I will, who knows.
Does that thing kinda look like a big cat to you?

DYI- I don't really care how inaccurate the imformation is I basically just need something to cite that if my teacher checks it (i'm sure she can't tell the difference) it has something to do with my subject which BTW is which C:B ratio increases performance

Your citations do not have to be specific to spud guns.

Go to the library and get a chemistry book and look up hydrocarbon combustion. Or heat engine efficience.

Get a book on guns in general for info on trajectories, chamber pressures, getting a bullet to fly without tumbling, etc.

Get a generall physics book for the equations of work and kinetic energy, and basic ballistics.

Check your library for books on water rockets (they have a lot in common with spud guns).

BTW, if the book is in your citation list you are supposed to have actually looked at it.
