Ok i am trying to build a pneumatic jack for my robots.
Please keep reading, i know it has nothing to do with a potato gun but i know that you guys can help me here.
Basically i need a one way piston that i can run off of my air compressor because i am trying to prove that this robotics company is overpriced and that i can build pneumatic jacks that are much more powerful for 1/10 the price.
So how do i build a piston out of hardware store parts?
I know that i am going to need a body probably 1 inch pvc with 2 endcaps.
But the real problem is how do i create a good piston with a good seal against the pvc?
That is the problem, i need to know how to build this part, your help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm more disturbed about the primary school part. . .
The piston could be cast from epoxy with O-ring seals or neoprene seals, there are plenty of ways to do it there is a greta amount of information on this website that you can search through. Why should we do the searching for you?
I live in a rural town, you don't want to know my nick name. . .

6000+ Spudbux, one old custom title and a possible new nick name for JSR....
Anyway, I think you should look at a thread on here about Pogo Sticks, probably similar in what you want to look at.

As soon as I saw Pneumatic Jack's post, I knew I was going to be the butt of hundreds of sheep-shagging jokes
Back on topic, perhaps

sorry hehe
Oh come on, i'd give you any city south or north of Auckland, but not Auckland it's self
And that's why the rest of the country hates us... Because we don't share their love with sheep...
Edit: Oh and can you give us some more specs on what you want, maybe a design or two?
