Recently, I was confronted and asked what I think makes an Adolf Hitler. Of course, one of the things I said was the evilness to kill millions, but there is definately more. Tell me what you think is the answer to this question.

I think making a Hitler is actually pretty broad when you are trying to match up with other people. Not that I support Hitler, but when looking at how he got to power, how he maintained it and how he got the support of the public, it is a pretty reasonable strategy, one of which is not too bad.
I think the only reason we remember everyone knows Hitler is simply because he just decided to do something bad (the holocaust). If someone else tried a genocide of a race, they would be considered another Hitler. I think that is what make Hitler who he is.
I don't think it was his determination for living space, that would just make him like every other ruler of a country.

To summarize: Hitler is only Hitler because of his determination to rid the world of the jewish. I don't see anything else that makes him special.

His mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and was treated for her illness by a Jewish doctor who served the poor. She had an operation and was given painful and expensive treatments with a dangerous drug in an attempt to kill the cancer and it ended up killing her. Hitler probably assumed without evidence that the Jewish doctor had murdered his mother and this most likely sparked his hatred for Jews.

A very wise statement mega_swordsman. I understand what you mean by the reasonable strategy, because, it really was. Hitler was a very intelligent man, but he put it to the wrong use.

Well, would you consider Joseph Stalin a Hitler?

Many people don't know this because its not as widely recognized, but in 1932-1933 there was a genocide that occured. It was implemented by Joseph Stalin by collective farming, meaning that he took more food from them than they could use to survive.

And who do you think was the nationality he tried to wipe out? Well it ws the Ukrainians, which i am one and am proud to be. 7-9 million ukrainians were killed which is more deaths thatn the holocaust, approx. 6 million. They called this genocide the "holodomor" which means "The great hunger"


But yea, now you know of another genocide, which should be just as widely recognized as the holocaust.

he was quite different from the rest of dictators becasue he was killing jews. Generally killing poorer nations is much simpler - for example Iraqis or Vietnamese... but Jews were always influential and rich...

It is funny that you can't make a racist remarks about jews or blacks but it is accepted to do so with some other nations or races (Muslims etc.)

@ LikimysCrotchus5 exactly... there were many other genocides as well. The funny thing is that 95% people don't know anything about them... the holocasut is a dogma and for some reason you can't even compare it with other genocides becasue it is supposed to be more important than other genocides.. why is it so?

I know i am somewhat biased to this, as you can tell in my other post, but many people do know that Jospeh Stalin was a bad man, and this information only supports my reason about the genocide i referred to in my post before.

To second LikimysCrotchus5... Yes, Joseph Stalin killed way more people than Hitler. Stalin was evil and smart. Hitler was evil and crazy. My former bible class teacher was a missionary in Kiev Ukraine for a number of years and he told us about the genocide of the Ukrainian people under Stalin.

Actually, Hitler wasn't just after Jews, he was trying to exterminate anyone who didn't meet a certain status quo.

But anywho, I guess the first thing that comes to mind when I think of "Hitler" is the "extreme fascism".

The tern is ethnic cleansing , he wanted to get rid of gypsies too.

In response to all of your answers, Joseph Stalin indeed did kill more than Hitler did. But it is the widespead impact pf Hitler that changed the world. Hitler loved the Aryan race, and hated Jews.
