tell me how detailed you need it
i can give you basic parts, but if you really want, i can add in a propane meter, but nothing that is not attached to the gun (ignition and stuff like that)
something like

but more suited for a beginner, but kick a lot of ass

if you want, you can add
http://www.spudfiles.com/forums/album_s ... ?pic_id=75&
takes $20 and 5 min to build, 2 days for glue to dry, only 2.5' long and packs a punch, not to mention easily concealable with a bristol board.

wow saladtosser nice plans, what do you use to make that, and is it free, how long did it take etc.?

That looks like Rhino. (From the grey background) Yes, it is free. That proably took a long a$$ time considering all the dif shapes... It is realtivly simple, but very time consuming. (That ball valve must have been a b*tch)

Ball valves aren't that hard, just a basic cylinder with a couple blocks for the handle and a sphere for the body. Of course, if you want to model it realisticaly, with the ports and such and threads, it takes a lot of Boolean unions, differences and such. Obviously time consuming.

making a few solid sphere with a hole in it is not that hard, just stick a cylinder in it and trim, then join

i half asses the threads, i piped them instead of doing them the "right" way

anyways i have another one now, way way way simpler. basic o/u with 3 spark gaps, and a cool looking fan, also every screw used is in there (minus tiny threads) and the bushings are more realistic

other rendering seen here, i tried to texture the walls with some fireworks graphics, but for some reason it wont render, these are supposed to be inside a garage with gate, opener and junk

and i have some wicked 3d animations
those are going to be in a video, u'll see it when the gun actually is made

back on topic, want me to model a simple pneumatic paintball gun? i look into the ggdt to get a size that shoots around 300 fps if you want to

oh and drac, i never used boolean unions, just explode, delete surface, re-surface, join
thx, didnt know what it did until now

No problem, one of these days I'll get around to making a tutorial for Rhino 3D. How did you do the lighting on that? I've always expirimented with it, but never could get a satisfactoy result.

BTW, what is the "correct" way to make threads? I've always tried doing that, but never got it to work, I had to pipe it too.

make 3 helixes, join them with line segments, then surface
got to watch the pitch of the helix though

lighting, i set up several open ended cones on the ceiling, set each of them with high gloss, then put a spot light under it... i tried to make a "parabolic" mirror b4 but the glossy surface does not concentrate light at all, just seems bright to your point of view.
