it is a 9/10 chance it was gang related. it has happened twice this year, and once last year, and the kid is in jail now.

one of my freinds that used to go to cram was choked out in a locker room in school, and the next day brought a knife to school and tryed to kill him, but was caught and expelled. within the last 3 weeks there has been 6 fights, and one lockdown at this school. my mom says we are going to move before i go to high school because she doesnt want me growing up like this.

Question:
Did he shoot, try to shoot, or threaten to shoot anybody?

If no, then I ain’t got a dang-blasted problem with him having a gun, I’d want one if I went to public school; who knows WHEN some psychopath will come in and light up the place, you can’t rightfully deny I man the right to defend himself with any means possible.

Although I’d have brought something a little bigger than a cal .40…

If he did shoot, threaten to shoot, or try to shoot somebody then he should be shot, himself.

I'm with judgment_arms on this one. He had a gun, big effin deal? Did he use it? Maybe he was carrying it for defense not offense. I'm a big supporter of CCW on college campuses so I may be biased.

I hate how the media portrays guns and the people who carry these tools.

Right Benstern, and I don’t want to here any of you complain about “it’s middle school”, I know a seven year old that could out shoot half of ya’.

“…the right of the people to keep and bare arms shall not be infringed.”

What them schools are doin’ sounds like infringement to me…

"This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future!" -Adolf Hitler,1935

Sound familiar…

What the hell do you need a gun for in school? Is there a shooting class you Americans have or something? Asscapping 101?

And that kid was 14, IIRC that's not the legal age required to carry a firearm. Oh, and don't give me that self-defense line either...it's not going to do much good in your backpack.

"Gimme your wallet!"

"Wait a sec....*reaches into backpack*"

Despite what you might think from the above, I'm not against guns, but I still think that there's a time and a place for them.

Yeah, if he didn't use the gun or threaten to use the gun, then whats the matter? but its a school so yeah... I would have carried a bigger one though *ahem50calbmgahem* just kidding doubt you can even carry it :)
Anywho if he threated to use it or was planning to use it then, he'd better clean his butt because he's guna be sittin it jail for a long time.

Who care what the heck he had it for, if he wasn’t tryin’ to shoot someone then leave him be!

And besides you tell 'em “fine, don’t shoot I have to get it out of my backpack… eat lead sucka!!! *BOOOM*”…

Alright, fine then, by your logic I should be able to carry a nuclear warhead in my backpack "as long as I'm not bothering anyone with it"?

What you need to consider here is foresight: It's better that he gets it taken away from him before he decides to "bother" someone.

It's a moot point anyways, the law's the law, he broke it and that's that.
