Am I lucky or what?

Slipknot/Children of Bodom/Machine Head are having a one off concert in New Zealand in October

I hope I can get a ticket, they'll sell fast.

Anyone here seen any of those bands live?

Yeah I know, but the three band concert thing is only a one off in a few countries like NZ and Aussie.

I'd be happy enough just to see Slipknot, Children of Bodom is just a bonus for me :P

Embarassed to say, but those bands are a little after my time. And got popular during those wasted years I spent not listening to faster music, but more classic rock, alternative (Radio type music).

Now I like heavier music again. I'll have to check them out and see.
It's funny, I was renting a place and a mean, nasty, old lady lived upstairs from me and was always nagging.
When I started listening to Heavy Metal again (Music choice cable mostly) she nagged me one day and I cussed her out.
She heard my music, got scared and never bugged me again.
Guess I gotta be careful with that stuff! :P  8) :D

It's strange how heavy metal was "in" years ago, went sort of "out" and now there's like metal classics. Maybe because it's better than what was in between older and newer metal / rock!! Also with all the internet music available, it's easy to compare stuff.

I like your taste necrosis, grindcore owns nu-metal

I don't even know what the hell 'nu metal' or 'grindcore' is, it's all heavy metal to me.

Saw Machine Head here in Getafe, didn't play a lot of the old stuff but great show, most violent and satisfying mosh pit of my life!

That's not Getafe, Madrid is it?

Quite industrial area IIRC?

I stayed at a Formule 1 Hotel in Getafe for my Euro Trip last year :P

That's the place, but it was hardly quiet when I was there, I was at the Electric Festival ;)
