lol, i like it, reminds me of an idea i had a while back, I was gonna get a few mates to all build different airsoft guns that would look and have the same sort of functions as guns off games like unreal tournament, then just play it for real.

Ok... I am taking misuse with a pinch of salt - using it for something it wasn't intended for (Air Arms didn't plan for me doing it...).
I'd just found a stuffed squirrel toy in the depths of my bedroom and I thought the opportunity was too good to pass up.

It should be noted that I don't actually use AA field pellets, I prefer Crosman Premiers, but the name was too long to fit in, and the pellet silhouette I made for it looked better in the AA shape.

@ramses: 32 yds may not be l337 skillz in powder burner terms, but you shouldn't really use a 12 ft-lb airgun at more than about 50 yards, because drag slows the pellet too much for it to still be able to kill cleanly.

Throw in the rather curved trajectories, the "kill zones" of no more than an inch across (with that little power, you have to hit the brain) and the fact the little buggers keep moving, and it gets trickier.
So, 32 yds wouldn't be too shabby with a 12 ft-lb springer... but anyway, it's just a number, picked half randomly.

And yes, the health meter was based on Halo. I also mixed in some TimeSplitters and Unreal Championship for the rest of it.

Have you tried Accupells? 14grain in .22. Heavy lil' b***ards.
Incredibly accurate too. Infact - I order you to go and try some now if you already havn't.

Indeed, although I use .177".

I got decent results with Accupells, so decided to try Premiers, being basically a souped up version. They group very nicely.

Do they group even better than the Accupells?
I may have to try some Premiers.

They do seem to, yes. They also have less drag and fly flatter, retaining more energy.
And possibly most important, they're a lot shinier - shiny is good!

JS Ramsbottom do good deals on pellets. When I bought the batch of Premiers I'm using now, they were about £49 for 5,000 - bought 4 boxes of 1,250, which is a lotta lead - 5.6 lbs!
And that's actually curiously less than Accupells would have cost per pellet - decent ammo at less than a penny a pellet is good going.

Better groups, less of my money - you'll not find me complaining.

Although, I'll warn you... some people say they find odd pellets in there - the wrong weight, hollow points, wrong calibre - which sounds a little far fetched to me, but even if it were true, the odd dud pellet will slip into any brand, so I'm not fussed.
I didn't find anything out of place in my 5000 pellets (I did a search through them out of curiosity), so even if it is true it's not exactly rife, is it?

Anyway, I'm glad to see my silly picture has raised a few smiles.

It sounds like a short trip to the local gunshop is in order then.
