camera cap/ignition coil
Ok, so far I have a camera circuit with 2 wires soldered to the cap's leads (lots of fun!
) and an ignition coil. The problem is i'm not quite sure how to wire it. If someone wouldn't mind making a diagram showing connections and where to put the gap, that would be very helpful, and I'll mail you some cookies and fried shrimp.

There should be three wires coming out of the coil- two smaller ones and one big one coming out of the top.
Connect the photocap to the two smaller wires with some kind of switching mechanism in between (polarity usually isn't an issue). This can be anything from a relay, to an SCR, to a simple switch. Just make sure it won't get it's contacts welded from the current spike.
Bring the third wire near the (-) terminal of your power source, and you'll get a nice spark when you fire the cap
