Hello I am trying to organize a spud cannon shoot off/ club in Ohio (spudding is legal here)
if any one is in Ohio drop a line and let me know if you are interested. I think it would be great to have a spudding community form in my area.

That is a little bit of a haul but maybe if we organize some thing it could be in between the Cleveland and Akron area so it would be more acssesable to more people.
If a club is formed and if an event is organized, I think it should be open to all cannons, BBMGs or pretty much anything allowed on this site.
Also I think it should be open to all ages, but if you are under 16 (if you are responsible enough to drive I think you are old enough to attend meetings and events) you must have a parent guardian or member of the club over 18 to attend with you. I belive this is fair, let me know of your thoughts.

that is understandable, no real testing and and events would happen until the weather warms up, I believe it a bit too cold to fire any high PSI cannons without the fear of a rupture in this weather

sounds good sandman would you be interested in a club? we would probably have to find a location in centeral ohio so every one would be able to participate without driving for a whole day!
I was thinking if a club forms it could be called the O.S.G.A or Ohio Spud Gun Association.
Any body that may be interested let me know or I will not go through the process of trying to organize something!!!!!
Also, If any body is interested I will begin work on a club website, and I would appreciate any help avalible!

I know of several places not to far from me, but it would be a haul for most. I understan about waiting till summer, we have to wait for the weather to get better any ways.
I am thinking that if a club forms there would be smaller meetings and then there would be three Huge launches, one in spring, another in summer, and the last in fall. The summer one would be the largest and would be open to anyone with a spud gun willing to make the drive. the small meetings would be closed to members to discuss guns, construction and to do a little firing.

you have to start small and build up, so just start with a launch to get everyone together

I agree. But maybe we can add an internet confernce thing to the website and only members could log in and once a week at a certain time we could have a "meeting" to discuss events and better organize.
