Hey Guys,

Freepaintballplans.com is having a buildoff. It is for anything DIY paintball. This includes mines, grenades, launchers, marker upgrades, etc.

Any of you who are interested, just check it out. I know there are a lot of paintballers here and this would be a great way for you guys to show what you can do. Any non-paintballers who are just looking to show off can join too.

Read here for more information.

Interesting, looks like I'll have to finish a project I started awhile back.

If I can get a good enough spring I'll finish off my paintball pistol and post that. If not, then too bad for me. Good luck to any of our members entering the contest

Thanks for the heads-up :) I have half a mind to build a paintball pen gun :D though technically, I already made something similar.

Hmm, my new project might be done by that deadline.

Indeed, I'm planning on making it with a barrel that at around .69" bore should be fine for paintballs.

hmm im not sure if my BDC design would work with paintballs.. I will have to test it out.. If so then my sawed-off Double Barrel 2 Gauge Punt Shotgun(yes I said two gauge) might be in order.

Not quite - however, that is approximately what it's equivalent bore size is.
Well, actually I seem to remember it was 2.35 gauge when I worked it out for him, but given you can have under and over boring (yet still talk in whole gauge numbers), calling it 2 gauge isn't actually inappropriate.

I wouldn't advise actually firing 1/2 lb lead balls from it though.

Hmm, approx 0.4255lb lead balls...I still ain't arguing with him while he's holding it.

BOT please. BOT="Be on topic", for those who don't know.

@ David - If you wish to do something with airsoft, that would be fine too. You make some amazing stuff. If you are interested, I'll check with Admin to make sure, but it shouldn't be a problem.

yes, could you talk with him?

I could submit my previous creations correct?
Is there a limit on how many creations you can submit?(I have quite a few.)

Update: Originally, this was going to be a contest to build something new. However, it has come to the attention that a lot of people who are signing up are posting entries that they have already built.

This has been accepted.

In other words, if anyone else is interested in showing off already built items, feel free to. Just make it paintball/airsoft applicable, which shouldn't be too hard for most of the stuff here. Personally, I would love to see some of the innovative work done here incorporated into paintball/airsoft.

And, remember, innovation is the key word.
