I am in a fishing club and we have the same problem in our pond. No one does it but the best is to get rid of them as they are not native. I have caught a few but it is not fast and so of no use to you. If you have catfish in the pond they will eat the carcasses, i recommend either a strong airsoft gun or a firearm and to take them out while they are sun bathing or on the surface. If you have a boat you would take a big hand net and just fish em out as good as possible and kill what you can't get.

Well, anything with a springloaded door and some food with a string will do to trap them.
But whats wrong with too much turtles? I suppose they wont play loud music at night?

I had this problem once in a small bass fishing pond I used to visit. John has the right idea (or, at least, that's how we got rid of them).

all the traps i have seen cost 200$ dollars i have the money but should i just take them out

the alligater snapping turtles are nasty bugers they eat all my koy

How many are we talking here? Under 50 i say trap and shoot the rest over 50 i say just take em all down and trap some with a net. Its not worth the Coy to be animal fan here, but a trap is easily built like a fish trap(if you want i can show you how) just above water, or you can always just put a bucket weighed down with stones into the water with bait and the turtles fall in and are trapped.

Or just leave them be and wait for them to die of natural causes...

It should take no more than 150 years... :D

if you did not have kois I would of suggested a net to eb put ont eh surface of their sunning spots, but maybe a trap like the one i discribes is your best bet, along with killing a few.

This sounds like a job for TURTLE MAN! You can find him at Theopia Land.
